  1. i was just on the 7th grade v-ball team!!! u need a v-ball camp and run and you can hit a volleyball against a wall if u don't have someone else to play with. good luck!!!

  2. Go against a wall and practice setting really small on the wall. If you find a wall you can also spike against it. Make sure you are doing all of the skills correctly because if you learn doing them the wrong way it will be really hard to learn it right. So get a book or something that will teach you like how to do all the moves and everything. Goodluck!

  3. try camps. if they are too expensive try getting a volleyball of your own and bump and set to yourself or a friend or family member. try using walls too. they always return the ball to you. for spiking advice...send me an email or im me on aim (x3whatfairytale) and i would be glad to help.

  4. If you've never played on a team before you need to find a summer league that you can learn, unlinke what many people think there is alot more then just hitting the ball to being a susessful team.

You need to learn some basic systems so check out the Y near you for a league or something.

Also your on the internet, look it up. Check the link

  5. There is no secret to it -practice, practice, and practice.  That is the only way to be good at anything.  Good luck and I think you will enjoy the team. =)

  6. Try honing your skills on the sand court.  Once you get the fundamentals of bumping, setting, and hitting, you will have the basics locked down.  Indoor has different plays and types of sets that are more complicated than sand volleyball.  If you are in 7th grade just work on the basic fundamentals for now.

  7. Conditioning is helpful, but doesn't compare to playing. If you can find an open gym where people play or a sand court, thats usually a cheaper alternative to playing club or taking a class. The more times you touch the ball, the more comfortable you will get with it. If you can't find a court nearby, practice bumping to yourself and setting against a wall. Pepper with friends too.

  8. Practice over hand serves, underhand serves, passing the ball, setting and underhand hits. These are all very important. I would also practice my ability of getting from place to place and fast. But i would also go to the library and read up on some rules so you don't look stupid when you walk into the first practice or try outs.

  9. start out by conditioning. Running a lot. Sprints are not fun, but they really help. Get some of your friends to take it seriously with you this summer and just pass(bump) it back and forth. Practice serving a lot. Coaches love that! And when you go for tryouts, show the coach that you really want to make the team. Best of luck!!!

  10. Try joining some camps. This will really improve your skills. Also, keep in mind, if you're going out for your city team, they might have a "B" team which might be more your level. That's what I did my first year, and I really developed the necessary skills. Keep up the practising, things such as jump rope (for a vertical), passing, setting, whatever possible. Good luck!

  11. i would try to practice your bumps and sets each day if you dont know what those are yet look them up on the internet, and also practice serving

  12. serve allot u have too kon how 2 serve over hand
