Help with wall decals?

i have 2 questions.

1. is there any way i can create my own decals?

or where are some places i can buy cute ones?(preferably not online shops)

2. do they still look nice and apply well on a textured wall?

  1. We create wall decals too. You will need some kind of vinyl cutter to cut out the decal. We use a roland Stika 15"  You can buy the vinyl pretty cheap on ebay. Just look for the same stuff you would use for car decals.   The software is typically included with the vinyl cutter but you can also use illustrator.  The designs and text need to be outlined or in a vector format.  

    You can purchase "cute" ones at hobby lobby, michaels and other craft like stores.. You can also contact places like www.UppercaseLiving.com (website is down for some reason) and have them come to the house or have a wall lettering party..

    2nd part:  They apply fairly well but will not apply to real textured walls. Light texture to smooth is the perfered. We can stick these to wood, painted walls, doors, glass, our refridgerator..

  2. the surface would need to be smooth......They do still sell them..I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart sells them...
