  1. Hello, you have at least two ways to deal with the discoloration on your teeth. (1)..See your Dentist and see what he can do for you. He may need to use a dental laser to remove the discoloration....or you may find that he might recommend that you consider "Veneers" over the front of your front teeth..."Veneers" can be created in any shape and color that will best provide you with the smile you want. Good luck and I wish you well.

  2. Hi,

You have developed enamel de-calcification due to the lack of meticulous oral hygiene when you had the braces.

There are 3 ways to deal with it :

    1. ENAMEL MICRO-ABRASION: If the stain is not deep seated then your dentist can strip the surface layer off with a paste that comes in a kit. The dentist keeps on polishing the teeth with that paste until the discoloration is gone.

    2. RESIN FILLING : If the involved areas are only localized to small areas, you can get white / resin fillings placed without getting too much tooth structure removed

    3. VENEERS OR LUMINEERS : You can get these restorations done. However, as I mentioned, going for this type of restoration will prove to be too invasive if the decalcification is not deep seated. You will end up losing the entire facial / labial surface of the involved teeth.

Also, you can run the risk of getting cavities along the margins of these restorations if you do not floss  on a regular basis on top of brushing your teeth.

    Hope this helped :)

  3. I'm not sure, but it may be de-calcification (a fancy word for white stains on the teeth and I don't understand what it means).  I have a tooth like that too & used to have braces. You need to consult a dentist cuz they may be able to remove them or may need a special procedure for that tooth. I want a veneer for mine cuz it still does look retarded, LOL! Good luck!
