Help with wii lan adapter?

this might take a while to explain so bear with me. i connected my lan adapter to my wii then connected it to the hub/router thingy. i did the test and it gave me a error code. i went online and fixed the problem. then i try everything they (nintendo support website) told me to do which was turning off my wii and letting the router rest by unpluging it for a while. i tryed the test and it still wouldnt work and gave me a different error code! eveytime i go fix it and try the test it always fails and gives me another error code!!! please help!!!!!!!!!

I find that my wii will struggle to connect with the router once you have just turned the router on. I usually give the router about 6 minutes to prepare before trying to connect to the wii. I find this helps.
