Help with writing a limerick?

Question

I'm doing a media studies course and I need to write an ad for Schmachos. It needs to be a 100 word or less limerick about 'HOW MY DOG ONLY GOES WACKO FOR SCHMACKOS'

it needs to be creative and witty. Any suggestions?

A limerick is two lines with three accented syllables that rhyme, two lines with two accented syllables that rhyme, and then a fifth line, again with three syllables, that rhymes with the first two:

What's pretty solid about your ad is that "Wacko" and "Schmacko" already rhyme:

There once was a dog that went Wacko

for the delicious goodness of Schmackos

Something like that would be a good start, or, alternately, end with the line about Schmackos to drive home the message of the ad.

I think you mean rhythmic poem rather than limerick - that would be too hard - if you are doing an ad you have 15, 30 seconds including voice-overs. 100 words would be too much.

Kibble makes me gassy,

canned meat can bind me bad

that loafy stuff was quite enough.

the worst I’ve ever had.

In the end I’m your best friend,

So treat me with respect.

Proper food is what you should

serve, what I expect

So, forget your day old pizza

unthawed meat

leftover tacos

Just open up the packet

and let me

"Go wacko for Schmackos!"
