Help with writing a quantitative proposal outline for Sociology?

Im suppose to make a proposal outline for sociology class and im having trouble with a certain step. My report is on Media and its affect with youth teens(physically, mentally).

Step 3: Which sociological theories are implemented to explain the study?

a. Which theory(s) appear to be present in analyzing inn this study?

b. indicate other theories that you feel could be utilized as well.

I'm not sure where you are going with this, but the mass media has influences on smoking, drugs and alcohol consumption, beauty and body image, diets, and much much more.
