Help with writing a story on the ending of Lord of the Flies?

For a school assignment I have to write an ending to the black and white film of Lord of the Flies. I basically have to continue on the story but I'm really stuck on what to write. So far I've got them travelling back to England as the war has ended and the story is in Ralph's point of view. So, anyone got any good ideas?

Hiya, saw this awesome ending on another question, so i pasted it:

As I was reading it, I was sure that Ralph would die in the the very fire that summoned help, which would be ironic because his entire struggle throughout the novel was to keep the fire lit so they could be rescued. That wouldn't have been a GOOD alternate ending because readers would likely have been quite upset.

Also, another possible ending: Jack being inadvertently killed by Ralph, who wanted nothing to do with killing in the first place. Then he'd be chief once again but would be in emotional turmoil for what he had done to regain leadership.
