How do i write email to council tax department. they sent a bill with the wrong address how do i write to them to amend the details and provide them with the correct details.

please give example layout for me to follow please.

  1. 1. You need the e-mail address of the council.

    2. It will be best to mark the e-mail for the attention of  the most superior officer.

    3. The heading of  the e-mail will be  Wrong Address.

    4. The body should be polite, precise and straight to the point e.g.

    I have today received with thanks, your bill for the month of..... I note however, that the bill was wrongly addressed. The correct address should have been .......

    Kindly amend your records.
