Help with writing songs?

Okaay..so i have a piano and ive been playing for a couple of years but i quit a while ago. Any tips on what i should do or suggestions cuz i really want to start writing songs for fun.

Write on your own experiences, feelings when you do something and your imagination.  Basically, as cliche as it sounds, let it come from your heart.  Hope it helps and good luck!

Write your lyrics first, then adapt them to a melody. Often times, when you have the words, the tune will write itself. Good luck.
