Help with wwii german war vocabulary?

i was watching a wwii movie about some germans in a submarine and whenever they fired a torpedo they said a word that souned like"loshe." whenever i translate fire into german in an online translator it comes up with feuer. so what is the correct spelling and meaning of the word that sounds like loshe?

  1. if there is a fire.. then you extinguish it.. Feuer löschen.


  2. torpedo los is what they say when they confirm that a torpedo has been fired. It means torpedo away

  3. The word means-loose or let go.

  4. they good be saying los ( l long o s) which is loose as in loose the torpedo... let it go basically not to be confused with was is los which means what's the matter.

    "Feuer frei" (open fire) is the command to fire cannons, rifles etc.

  7. I think this translates to "loose" ( as in to turn loose). Feuer is the word for fire (like at the end of a candle).
