Help with xp shutdown?

I have tried just about everything I can think of to help make my xp pro shutdown faster. At times it can take up to 10-15 min to completely shutdown. Does anyone have any ideas

  1. Hi

    i think that RAM is not enough or u have heavy load of data. You should compress the files that can be done and update the computer by NORTON antivirus.

    If it takes much time to be shut down then there may be any virus activity.


  2. try is downloading and installing the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service which helps to ensure user sessions are completely terminated when a user logs off. System processes and applications occasionally maintain connections to registry keys in the user profile after a user logs
