I have no job experience really .

I wont to work in the Radio Industry.

I want to get a non paid intern from a radio station, just to get my foot in the door and too get some experience...

I do not have a college degree of any kind!!!

How can i do this??

Call Radio stations and ask if they have any internships available?

  1. Call radio stations would be a good one, but you could also make your own online.

    Some radio stations have amature hours. Which you can set up a time where you can play your own music on the radio for a fee of course. So start calling around and asking about it.

  2. This is very doable. And, not having a college degree doesn't matter.

    Select several stations that you would be interested in interning at. Then, contact them and talk to the person who handles this - could be the operations manager; could even be a program or promotions director. Let them know exactly what you are interested in.

    Repeat this process until someone says "Yes."

    Patience and persistence is the secret to winning a spot in radio.

    I have a college degree in communications, but got my first radio job 6 years before that. It took 6 or 7 attempts to get hired that first time and seemed to take a long time. But, I never was an intern. I just kept applying til they finally hired me.

    If you can build a friendship/relationship with somone in the business, that can be very helpful to you.
