I was making some noodle soup in the microwave and I wasnt paying attention because my little brother was annoying me. So I didnt notice that I didnt put any water in!And ofcourse the noodles burned and I tried to put just a little water in and the whole bowl broke! And I cleaned that and opened windows and turned fans on and etc.But the microwave still smells and I wanted to know if that could be bad for any other food that gets put in.Is it

  1. Nah, you'll be just fine.

Leave the microwave open for a bit to air out, but theres no danger at all.

If the smell still bothers you, though, then just put a few drops of lemon juice in a dish with some water, and microwave on high for about 30 seconds. Then let it air out again, and you'll never tell the noodles were there at all.

  2. Your concern is valid.  The smells from previous foods sometimes can  "cling" to the next food cooked.  After you clean the oven, leave the door of the microwave open and let it air out for a while and the smell will go away.

  3. It could taste like smoke or noodles

  4. Oh you poor thing.  I burned popcorn in my microwave once.  Awful.

Wipe out the microwave with warm, soapy water.  When it looks clean, put a few slices of lemon or lime or an orange into a glass dish.  Add a cup of water and nuke on high for two minutes.  That will get rid of the burn smell.

  5. Put a small pile of baking soda on a small plate or saucer.  Place this in the microwave with the door open after you clean it out.  Leave it for an hour or two.  It really does help.
