Help!!I have putin an offer on a repo house with estate agent?

and i have got a mortgage sorted but estate agent said offer been accepted but got to wait tiil next week and take wage slips etc to them cos seller wants to know if i can afford it,I already said got mortgage and can i give go ahead for my mortgage to go through they said not untill u have seen us.WHY? what are they up to? why are they stalling? help ASAP

If you've already got the mortgage, you should simply give your agent the letter stating exactly what the banks is willing to lend you.  Its normal for an agent to want to see a pre-approval (or in your case, an approval) letter so that they know they are working with a solid buyer.  This should be all that they should need...but you do need to give him/her a copy.  If you were the seller, and you had to take your house off of the market to sell it to someone, wouldn't you want to know..in plain black and white, that the buyer could afford it (and wasn't dicking you around?)  Don't take offense to the request, because its just business and is totally normal.

some mortgagees in posession want to make sure  that the purchaser (you) is ready to proceed quickly IE: mortgage arranged and everything stacks up basically. and thats why they want to verify paperwork.
