  1. If you want the wireless internety anywhere or "on the go" you need to buy one of the wireless cards from AT&T and Verizon - those are most popular. But that's like $50/month.

At home, you just buy a router and follow the easy steps from the cd. First of course you must have internet. When you purchase internet service you will get a modem from the provider and then you buy the wireless router (@best buy for exmaple). Like I said you buy the router, play the CD it came with and follow the installation steps. I recommend buying a NETGEAR router.

When you are at a public place, for example Starbucks or a hotel, you use their wireless internet which Wi-Fi.

  2. WIRELESS INTERNET?? HMMM IT CAN B THRU WI-FI.. SO U NEEDNT BOTHER BUYIN NETHIN.. U HAVE WIRELESS LAN INBUILT..

N IF SHE CONNECTS IT THRU A DATA CARD O THRU FONE.. THN CONSULT D SERVICE PROVIDER..

  3. almost all new laptops have wifi but it doesn't work everywhere.  that's about all there is to know.

  4. The most important thing you need to know is make sure you have good anti-virus, and a firewall programs running any time you connect at a wi-fi spot. Otherwise you will be very vulnerable to attack from viruses, hackers, and worms(worms are also hackers) ha, ha. If you don't want to spend ANY money, these are the best you can get for free. I use them:

    Avast! Home edition for anti-virus - http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...

    Comodo free firewall - http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/d...
