  1. Everybody else who's auditioning is just as nervous as you are.  Remember that the people you're auditioning for want you to succeed.  They want you to be exactly the performer they're looking for.  Break a leg.

  2. first off, dont worry so much, im sure you'll be fine =] and just relax, i know it doesnt seem like much help, but if you stress out too much, you'll psyche yourself out. have fun & i hope your throat feels better!!!

  3. First of all you will be OK. As being a director I have never once thought 'oh I am not going to like this person' I want to like you. Just smile and relax. If they ask you to do the monologue again and give you notes that's a good thing 1. They are interested in you 2. they want to see how directable you are. If your throat hurt could be nevres but if you have to sing drink just water No soda, sugar, or milk. If you mess up just keep on going I one time at an audition by accident started reading the stage direction but I just kept on going and they still gace me a call back. If you don't get cast dont be hard on yourself not that you were not good I am sure you will be and you are many times it has to deal with type and looks if I am casting you to be in a family and you look nothing like the other family members or maybe you look to young or old to play a part. So don't be nervous breath smile and you will be fine.

  4. Be prepared. Nerves is just anxiety of the unknown.

And if you weren't at least a little nervous, then you shouldn't be in this profession.

  5. watch this

that always helps me and I've been in lots of plays

  6. Make sure you know all your prepared pieces like the back of your hand.

Keep calm in the duologue, and if you make a mistake, don't panic, carry on.

Eat Strepsils (not too many, it doesn't end well)

Practise your acting by acting CONFIDENT =]

And remember, if you don't get it, its not the end of the world, and also doesn't always reflect on your ability (you may just not look right for the part)

    Good Luck !

  7. All the best :)
