I would prob say buffon, although cech is close, no way should lehman, almunia, reina be on that list. Why the thumbs down for that?? If Lehman was any good then why couldent he have beaten kahn to the german number 1 for so many years?? Almunia is one of the weak links in the arsenal side, he has not got the quality to compare with any of the others, reina is like 3rd choice for the spanish side, if these keepers are supposedly the best in the world then they should be the number 1 for their country.

casillas by far. he single handedly led madrid to their last two titles, he has also experienced champions league finals, euro championship finals, he's younger than the other good keepers (will only get better) and importantly, - he's consistent, he doesn't just perform great saves evry few matches he makes these saves many times per match

it has to be casilla or van der sar.  i give the edge to casilla he is younger and more agile, not to take away from van der sar, but look at what happend to Oliver Kahn he cant move as well as he used to, and whats going on with Cech hes been a little inconsistent

It's a tough one between Cech and Buffon. They both have fantastic ability, concentration and awareness, and both are good leaders in their boxes. For me it's practically a dead heat, except that Cech is younger, so has the potential to go further, so I think he has to edge it.

No doubt, it has to be Iker Casillas (I am a Barca fan though). He lead Real Madrid to a triumph in La Liga by keeping them alive in games they could've lost if they had had any other keeper. He was just amazing. And then, he did the same thing for Spain in the Euro cup. He saved them against Italy in the P.K shootout. And played well in other matches like the final against Germany. So for my money, Casillas is the best in the world.
