  1. I think it has broken a blood feather. Don't worry. If it is still bleeding, then either press a bar of soap  or flour onto it's wound. You can also use a cotton wool thing.

  2. It's likely a broken blood feather.  I have 6 parrots and have seen this happen occasionally over the years.  Get a little flour and cake in on the feather until the bleeding stops, like a shaving cut.  The bird will take care of getting rid of the flour later but the bleeding should have stopped.  If bleeding continues either you got the wrong feather or it's more serious than I can advise.  I'm too chicken to pull one out, which is what I've seen my breeder do.

  3. RING THE PET SHOP AND TELL THEM TAKE IT BACK IT HAS GOT A BROKEN TAIL FEATHER

  4. If its a feather thats bleeding if you have quick stop use that if not...take a clean towl and apply pressure to the feather and still if that doesnt work the next best thing is to find the feather that is bleeding and pull that feather totally out. I KNOW it sounds cruel but by doing that you will stop the bleeding. And really it only hurts for a short second. It may be hard but if its bleeding and nothing is working just do that.

  5. Might just be a cut, don't overreact too much unless it looks horribly bad, just get a cloth on it and apply pressure. Find an emergency vet in your phonebook if you think it's very bad.
