2- its started working a little slower specially when i open my computer after startup

3- ive got a music button on my keyboard which (usually) on pressing wud turn on windows media player now does not. instead it opens real media (which i installed recently). so how do i change it back?

4- windows media player does not update to windows media player 11 it just gives a error

5- i tried downloading wgaplugin install but it got cut off as net disconnected and now i can't get that half complete install off my pc. it says its being used by another program

by the way im using firefox and have ccleaner to clean registry

  1. re-install firebox

  2. i think the most obvious reason is that you have your system infected. try re-installing Win Xp and it should be fyn. Also, windows media player fails to update to version 11 if your XP is not a genuine one. There are ways of overcoming it, but that would be p****y.

  3. 1.  i dont know whats causing you this problem, it could be several reasons, but as far as i know if windows did not find any problem it will not do a system check.

    2. this could be cause by several reasons again,

        a. you installed some softwares that boots up when the computer starts (try disabling them going to start > run > type 'msconfig' and go to startup

        b. it could be a virus or spyware...

    3. look for the tool that controls your keyboard, like a program that assigns keys to your keyboard, you can look it at the start > programs > HP Utility or whatever and change it multimedia back to wmp

    4. what error are you getting? maybe you windows xp is not sp2 or also it could be a virus issue

    5. probably virus issue or corrupt wmp.

  4. your computer may be infected with the virus and Trojan

I suggest you use a comprehensive killing NOD

Then clean up your registry repair documents can be resolved

  5. 1. computer does a system check whenever your drives face some problem.. your computer doesnot do that .. which means it doesn't have any problem .. don't worry bout that

    2. during startup some programs that u have installed gets start when you start your computer.. that's why its slowing up ..

another reason may be that you have installed too many things inyour PC.. that's causing slowdown..

    to improve this--

       go to start

       click on Run

       type %msconfig%

       then go to startup tab

       then click on disable all

       then click ok

then your computer will restart and it will improve the speed

[NOTE:- if u disable any startup program it will NOT harm your PC anyways.. they just dont start automatically when you start your computer..]

    3. real player is starting instead of wmp is because you have accidently changed your defualt media player to real player from wmp..

       to change this --

      open real player

      then go to tools

      select preferences

      then go to content

    then select media types

then there will be two options ..

select 'manually configure media types for real player

then click on select below it

    then click on disable all

    press ok again ok..

then wmp will be ur default media player..

    4. windows media player is not updating to wmp11 because your windows XP is not genuine (means the key of windows is not issued by microsoft)..

u cannot update that any way..because wmp11 neads validation process to check whether your WINDOWS is genuine or not..

5 .may be it has shared some files .. i don't know aobut it clearly..

the 4 above answer are the perfect.. it will 100% solve your problems..

the 5th one is not clear actually to me.. sorry about that..

    but ENJOY!!

  6. If you have Winxp or Vista it will not do an auto system check on restart after

unintentional shut down . Left click my computer , Right click C drive then properties, then tools and then click check now under error checking. When downloading real media it will set itself as the default player. Go to control panel. Add/remove programs , on the left side click on Set program access and defaults then click on custom . Reset media player to default player. Click start then search and type in the the file name you are trying to get rid of. If the search comes up with file locations ,go there and try to delete from that location. Always make sure to do a virus and spyware scan and remove any threats found before making changes to pc settings

  7. this is mainly due virus attacked or trojans of some kind

my best advice to reinstall OS system  and other needed programs of your choice.
