  1. the best way to figure out your situation is to go to the nearest conservation office to your location and ask for wildlife management papers and/or websites and ask them questions on what to do, cuz every location is different from the next, id look for you if i knew your location.  good luck

  2. One of the biggest steps you can take in helping wildlife is protecting the ecosystems they inhabit.  This means reducing your impact on the environment; supporting conservation organizations like The Nature Conservancy; becoming active with local environmental efforts; and voting!

This is best summed up by the old "Think global, act local" adage.

For example: while the loss of ice shelves around the arctic is having a major impact on polar bears; you could use your vote to make our leaders come to accept global warming, volunteer time or donate money to environmental efforts working to restore polar bear habitat and get involved raising awareness of this via a letter writing campaign.

On a similar, but smaller scale, you could protect migratory flight routes by spending time helping the Audubon Society with bird counts, work on restoring wetland habitat, and get involved with local government on area conservation programs.

Everyone can do something local, regional, national and globe.  The opportunities are countless.  It's just a matter of figuring out how to best make use of your skills, time and resources.

  3. First, recycle. Other ways to help include cleaning up the beach or nature trails when you are out, or just picking up trash you see around a parking lot (so the birds don't eat it). A big way you can help is through making a donation to a wildlife charity, volunteering at a wildlife rehab center, or spreading the word about the importance of wildlife to family and friends.

  4. i would say go to your schools principal and ask him for a fun raiser  to help the inviorment and the fun raiser should be something like to clean up streets or to go on a filed trip to the woods or a forest and clean it up and put some food for animals and look out for injurded animals to heal and nurture..... thats wat i would do

  5. sign some petitions

  6. Talk to your local conservation office to find the needs in your area specifically.

  7. Cut down on the abuse you give to the environment. This involves using less energy and water, Becuase these resources when used require non-renewable resources to be spent causing global warming. Global warming in-turn effects the equilibrium of the ecosystem by attacking it causing drastic changes to the environment. Therefore by doing your part and conserving, recycling etc you will make a difference to the Wildlife.

  8. well you can donate money to your local zoos or you can donate your time at the zoo helping the animals there. Plus you can not hunt & try to stop other people from hunting.

  9. Plant native plants/trees/shrubs in your local parks and frontyards/backyards.

  10. Encourage responsible wildlife management.  Most of the money for wildlife comes from hunting licenses, and responsible hunting can help wildlife populations flourish.  (Nature tends to do this, but it doesn't happen well without predators...so unless you want to be fighting off bears and wolves as you go to the mall, we have to do the job ourselves.)

So supporting game commissions and hunting organizations are the most effective ways to help.  Also, helping groups like the Nature Conservancy, who support effective conservation efforts (not just politics), is very good.
