Helping and charity?

Lately, like everyones seen on TV, we keep getting messages about global warming and poverty and poor children. I personaly want to help, and as I live in Canada, sending money is the only thing I can do. However, im only 14 and dont have a credit card, and hardly 500 dollars in my bank account, which is not enough to sponsor much for more than 3 months. Does anybody know any way to send money or give donations without a credit card, or any other solution to this? Thanks. Oh, and if you are over 18, sponsor a child. Under 18, dont litter, make the world better. :)

  1. Everyone can leave their email adress and you can reply telling them to mail money for the charity and were the adress is

  2. Good for you! It's so great to see people your age becoming interested in things like this. There aren't a lot of teens doing what you're interested in doing.

Have you talked to your parents about this? Maybe you could go online and see if World Vision Canada (http://www.worldvision.ca) and Plan Canada (http://plancanada.ca/NetCommunity/Page.a... will send you some info packages. Then, take them to your parents and say that you're really interested in doing this. Maybe they'll split the cost with you, or maybe they'll pay you to do a few extra chores each month so that you can afford it.

Good luck. Hopefully you can work something out. If not, consider trying to volunteer in some other way, or start a branch at your school for Amnesty International, Students for Tibet, STAND (Students Taking Action Now: Darfur), etc. There are loads of youth-led Canadian organizations out there.
