Helping kids?

if i wanted to help some people like...in africa how can i start it? i mean if i raise money how do i make sure they get the money right...???what organization works and helps out

These are all established, credible organizations with lots of information online about what they do. None have religious affiliations (I'll leave those to someone else to suggest).

Keep in mind that helping children doesn't always require raising money.  There are many organizations that need help caring for children that are abused and neglected such as Childhelp USA (www.childhelp.org).  This particular organization will accept and train volunteers to work in the playroom with the children while they await several phases of investigation.  All you need to do is play with the children in a safe environment where the suspect is never allowed in the building.  Just one different example of helping children outside of raising money.  Another option would be Big Brother or Big Sister organizations (I don't know their particular website information).  Many options available working with and helping children.  Good luck to you!
