Helping others and getting the boot up the A?

Hello right to the point im helping someone with a small bussiness and kepting there books and paying the bill in which the wife cant do because she always payes them in half and sometime doesnt pay them and now she has no house phone is mad because i loaned him money to pay this months rent and water and gas bill and fix his truck she calls his phone calling me all kinds of names and tells me shes aking me to court they live in a small house thats very old and the children didnt even have beds to sleep on was sleeping on a twin air mattress to boys on the floor and the 15 yr old sleeps ina chair and he sleeps on the sofa and shes sleeps in a full bed with the 8 yr old ,the fridge went out so i brought one and send it over this woman is making more bills and isnt working and not trying to help him and she kepts pulling him down im backing out of helping could she be reported to welfare for the way there living with four kids ?

What exactly is your relationship with this woman's husband? It sounds like you are way way too involved in their lives and care too much for him. Yes it's sad that they are living like that but it also isn't your business. You need to step out of the picture asap and let them deal with their own problems. Unless you are a paid employee and have no choice but to work there until you can find another job, you need to get uninvolved. And no welfare isn't going to "do" anything because of their situation, but you could refer them anonymously to a charity organization in the area such as St. Vincent de Paul, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, etc. Basically this isn't your life or your problem and you are being very foolish getting in the middle of someone else's domestic problems, it never ends up on a positive note.
