Question:

Helping someone get a visa?

I met a woman from Colombia a little over a year ago and we hit it off quite well, later her visa expired and she had to return home.

We may be getting married but I wanted longer to be sure than just a fiance' visa's 90 day period.

I was wondering if there's anything I can do to help her get a tourist or student visa besides the letter of invitation. I'm going to send that of course, but is that all I can do? I'm in the U.S.A.F if that helps anything.

Thanks!

  1. If she will be coming here as a tourist or student, you letter of invitation will probably help but the burden will be on your fiancee to prove to the Consular officer who will interview her that she is really an intending tourist or student.
