Helping stop animal cruelty?

Question

I really love animals but i dont want to become a vegetarian [i tried but its too hard for me],so instead i use products that have NOT been tested on animals,and i do not wear any fur,clothing items,or jewelery that comes from animals,but how can i do more to try and stop animal cruelty?

I think the best thing is to not buy products that have been tested on animals. This includes pet food!! Have you seen the Iams videos? Completely horrific. I think you are on the right path. If you cannot or do not want to become a vegetarian buy organic foods and meats. If you are confused look into Whole Foods it's a grocery store..hopefully there is one near you! If not, organic food is becoming more and more popular lately and is showing up in local grocery stores as well.

one of the BEST things is eat LESS meat - particularly less chicken

chickens are the cruelest of all raised meat animals.. 50% are killed and ground up into cat food at age day 1 (males)

eat FREE RANGE EGGS only!!!

Well there's a site called www.freewebs.com/animalfriends101 . They help save animals and have an animal business. Spread them around. And you can get petitions for stoping people from testing on animals and mail that to businesses. You can put fliers up and in peoples mail boxes. You can even make your own site on freewebs.com . I'm going to try to spread what you're saying around.

I hate to be the devils advocate but testing on animals is the lesser of the evils compared to testing on humans. Sure they treat animals badly, but do you really want a unsafe drug hitting the market and causing people to die or cause certain defects?
