Helplessly searching in Lausanne, Switzerland?

I am trying to locate a woman who lived in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1947. I don't exactly know where to start... I've tried www.whitepages.ch but it has left me unsuccessful. Since it has been 61 years since we have last contacted her, it is probable that the name I am using to find her is her maiden name. Any suggestions of where I could find old records of Lausanne residents would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
