Hi,

-Login to http://groups.yahoo.com/

-Click "Manage" near the word My Groups.

-Click on "Edit My groups" tab

-Check the box"Leave group" from the group you would like to leave.

-Save Changes

If this is not working, you should be having a "unsubscribe" mail id that would be indicated in the unwanted mail content you have received. send a mail to them that you ant to leave that group.
