  1. i've got a garter......i've lost it 3 time..the silliest one is when i found the snakes in my drawers....and it was 1 foot away!!!ball pythons are slow moving...check evrywere in you room...check were you wont check....i've head storyes were people found there snake not too far from there cage.....good luck..

    EDIT:trap it at night..google it....

  2. You mean ball python, yes? And trust me it wouldn't have hurt itself falling even from a dresser. How old is it? The smaller, younger ones are harder to find but like previously stated look in dark, damp, warm places. The snake will have wedged itself in somewhere, so check corners and stuff.

  3. I don't know if these other people are just being optimistic or what, but honestly you probably will not find your snake. Places you should check though, are under your refrigerator, near your washing machine, and other appliances that produce heat. Good luck.

  4. It will hide in tiny dark spaces also where it is warm..so check couches, the first day i got my Ball Python she got lost in the couch and they i found her cause it was warm in there..oh yeah they roam in the night..when it is dark it should come out and look for a warm place..oh yeah they feed in the night, so it should come out when it is dark!

Good luck! It should pop up in no time! Don't worry to much..i freaked out and then she popped up! Just keep and eye out for it when the house is dark or almost dark and you should see it come out of hiding!

  5. Some good advice people have here.  Look behind/under the fridge or any place that's warm.  Remember to look even in the smallest of places where you might think he might not fit - you might be surprised.  Start from the cage and work your way out.  Behind the dresser, under.  Remember ball pythons like security so tight, secure places are a must to look in.

Don't close his cage.  When well looked after snakes tend to think of their cages as their homes so sometimes they might go back there.  Also leave fresh water out because your snake will wonder around at night probably when you sleeping looking for water.

I really don't think he would have hurt himself falling from the dresser.

Good luck! I hope you find him.  Let us know.

  6. The best places to look are under the fridge and stove (the like the heat) also in the clothes hamper under piles of clothes.  Don’t forget they can climb…look on table legs in room corners in closets…depending on how small the snake is look in shoes.  If you have hardwood or vinyl floors you could put a row of flour down at doorways and such, if the snake crosses the flour it will trail…you will at least be able to tell which way the snake went.  A friend of ours found his ball python in a bag of substrate that he had bought…there was a hole that the snake went in through.  It will show up eventually.  We had one ball python that used to get out and go up under a table (there was a “shelf” under the table where the snake liked to go.  Another ball python got out and went into the couch cushions…another time he got out and just went exploring.  Another ball python got out and went behind a large blanket chest.  Another ball python got out and she was gone for about 3 weeks then one night we heard a crash and went to investigate and she was on top of the table going toward her “house”.  Lets see…we had a blood python that got out and crawled up on top of the ball python cage another blood got out and went under his cage.  Our kingsnake got out and we found her in a dresser drawer.  The point is we have had lots of escapes and none of them were permanently lost…snakes are crazy.

  7. haha Don't worry too much.  My ball python escaped a couple of times but always went to the same spot.  She went into my laundry room ceiling where it was warm with the boiler pipes and what not.  Just look at places where its dark and cozy, a tight space.

Dont worry about the snake getting hurt.  And they also can go months without food so im sure youll have enough time to look for him.
