  1. you boil the h2o in a pot on the stove... then you put the egg in to the pot and wait about 15 -20 minutes......h2o means water jst so u know

  2. Don't panic, it is simple, but read these guidelines e you will do fine. There are some options for you:

  3. Put the egg in a pot of hot water.

    :)

  4. I put my egg into cold water and bring to the boil, then cook for about four minutes. But I also stir the water as it boils. This seems to help keep the yolk in the centre.

  5. put the egg in water and boil it for 20 minutes...it pretty self explanatory

  8. Put the egg in a pan of warm water...only a small one. Turn on the hobb (where the fire is!) and after the water starts to boil, leave for 7-10 mins runny, 15 mins hard.

  9. 1. Put the egg in a small sauce pan.

    2. Cover with water.

    3. Put lid on pan, and place over high heat.

    4. When water comes to a boil, turn off the heat.

    5. Let it sit for:

          4 minutes soft egg

8 minutes firm with runny yolk

          10 minutes firm yolk

          15 minutes hard cooked

  10. For Pete's sake don't take any notice of "Blah",you will have hard boiled eggs if you do . Put the egg in a saucepan with water just covering the egg, raise the heat until the water boils then simmer for three minutes, for a soft boiled egg.

By the way if you put an egg into a pan of boiling water it will almost certainly crack . So raise the temperature of the water and the egg together as I said.

  11. Judging by the time most people here want to boil an egg for I can only assume that they must be boiling duck, goose - and in one instance, ostrich eggs!

To boil an ordinary hen's egg, you need but to put the egg in a pan of cold water with a little salt added to prevent cracking (sometimes!), bring it to the boil and let it boil gently for three minutes for a soft egg (one with a runny yolk) or five minutes for a hard-yolk. Anything beyond this results in 'bullets' which are not suitable for eating with toast for breakfast!
