ok so i used to take ballet for 4 years and i can do a pretty good split, but not all the way down. i can probabbly go down about 3-5 inches off the ground but i want to go down further. my legs just wont go down further idk why!? i dont take dance anymore but me and my friend love to dance a lott so i can stretch with her(noo need to explain about stretching) also, my back leg(which is my left one) always bends when i do one, can that be another reason why? ive tried making it straight but it wont work. thank you!

  1. i used to have the very same problem.  what you do is make both legs as strait as you can and go down. believe me, you will go down farther if you legs are srait and ur head is up and your not bending over to you front leg. jsut keep streching and you'll get down!

  3. Well try stercthing u body everyday and keep in good shape.That might help .

  4. My yoga instructor told me that it's probably easier to do a split after a full yoga class instead of at the start of one. So, I would say you would need to be sufficiently warmed up first.
