me and my friend have known each other all through middle school and i never liked him as a "boyfriend" until this year, we've best friends for about a year and everyone is noticing us flirting all the time and talking like today my friend was like "hanging all over Steven i see" i don't know what to do because i don't wanna risk our friendship but i wanna go for it. what should i do? he doesnt mind when i'm all over him he just kinda smiles haha. were upperclassman and all of sudden it changed. i'm also not really over my ex and i dont wanna grow apart from him because i'm afraid of not having hm in my life.

I say go for it!  Nothing gets you over the last one like the next one.  But before you do, talk to him 1st and tell him that if it doesn't work out that you would still wanna remain friends no matter what.

You'll never know unless you try, I say go for it!  You don't want to look back & always wonder what would have happened...good or bad, once you do it you will always know how it turned out.  Year of experience have taught me that could ofs, would ofs, & should ofs were wasted moments & missed opportunities in which there are no do overs. Go for the dance even if you fall on your butt...if nothing else that will make for funny stories to tell your grandkids! LOL   Good Luck
