It depends on what magazine you're talking about.

If you're talking about a magazine such as Seventeen, just an example, it usually has an article on the inside that says 'Get this Look' and it'll tell you the makeup they used.

Well, usually the models on magazines wear MAC, which is very expensive.

I'm talking 18 dollars for one color eyeshadow and up.

There should be cheap brands at a local store, like target or walmart that carry brands like maybelline, and covergirl. Their eyeshadow aren't as good as the people on magazines, but they work just as well.
