  1. A democracy is simply the will of the majority. It is often called mob-rule or mobocracy.

The original 13 nation-states were established as republics wherein representatives of the people made decisions that were in the best interests of those people, even if the idea was not popular. It took selflessness, wisdom and courage, all of which are totally lacking in Congress today.

We the people have no control over our government because our fathers and grandfathers allowed the power of the people to be usurped by the power of the lawyers and bankers who now control this country. We are only allowed to believe we have power through voting which is a great big farce. Only another revolution, which Thomas Jefferson said should occur every twenty years, will solve the problem.

  2. democracy :

    demos : people

    kratos : government

it is the government run by the people. people activly make decisions regarding their life. they say yes or no to some issues. election is just one method. it is not a perfect method, but it is not bad. my opinion is, it is not the system that must be fixed, it is the people. some country in aristocracy live so well and prosperous cause the people are great

  3. Technically....this is a fiduciary republic

We hire people to look out for our interests (Congress and Executive Branch) they in turn are supposed to use their own knowledge and skills to look out for our best interests.

When they fail, we can either remove them at the next election, or impeach them in the meantime, or even call a special election for their removal.
