I never go on holidays with my family, and i've only been on two in my whole life. I'm 14 and earlier this year i wanted to go on a holiday. My dads side of the family is from croatia, and germany. My grandmar visits there every couple of years to see our relitives. I'm studing german in secondary school and my grandmar asked me if i wanted to go with her to europe with her and stay in my dads cousins house. He is a millionare and lives on the beach in an amazing house apparently. She wants me to go with her for three months during school time. and i'll get school work sent to me over email. I kind of get homesick even with my grandmar? but i really want to go?

has anyone that is 14 been to europe but lives in Australia?

i want to hear some stories that would be great thanx :_)

and also my grandmars friend who we are staying with have a girl the same age as me that can only speek german?

  1. You should really take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.  It will be an experience that you will always remember.

I went to Germany as an exchange student when I was 16 and it changed my life.  I didn't speak German that well but I had no problems getting along.  Most people in Germany speak english.

You may get homesick from time to time but you will only be gone for 3 months.  Your grandma will be there with you.  You will be busy and seeing and doing so many different things the time will fly by and you will be sad when you have to leave!
