I have had the most success with the Orkin perimeter defense. I set the nozzle to stream and closely spray all the way around the basement lining and follow any cracks. Don't pull the trigger so hard as to cause spray in the air. You can get the perimeter home defense at Home Depot.

I don't know what they're called, but they are big green ball-looking things that grow on trees.......they keep spiders away! Take a walk in the woods and see if you can find them....they should be falling off the trees anytime!
