Help(women swimmers)?

I am 11years old, turning 12July 15, Ive started periods, I'm in a swimming team, I have a gala next month on May 13, Periods started on April 11, I've heard from mom that periods last for 3-4 days, my swimming coach is a man, this gala is important because it's a big one, i'm representing my country I seriously need help, what can I do, I can't tell my coach, he's a man, I'm also top swimmer in my team and I'm even faster than a 14 year old boy but I can't skip this gala, help! And I can't use tampons because they're too"disgisting" it's hard plucking this thing in my thingy. Please help, give me advice!

  1. Hi! I think that your absolutely right about tampons! I don't like them myself,so one day I tried "Instead".It is a soft cup that you do have to stick it there,but there is no string and it stays there till you take out with finger.It sounds gross but hay! we have to do it.I like these because you can't feel that its there,there is no odor because the substance doesn't come in contact with air and they don't leak.check it out before you say "EEEEWWWW!!"   2. Im a guy I don't have any to do with those experiences, but theres always some common sense on it. Maybe something may be disgusting, but sometimes sacrifices are necessaries.

    And don't be shy talking with your coach, if he is a professional coach, or at least a coach with experience, it won't be something new to him, every swimmer girl has the same problems! Maybe he even know a good way to deal with it!
