Hen Night in Edinburgh?

Question

We are having a hen night for our friend in Edinburgh and wanted to know some good bars and clubs that we can enjoy ourselves in. Nothing too s****. or too meat-markety. We just some good suggestions with really really cheesy music and cheap drinks. We'll all be wearing costumes and be playing lots of dare games etc. Can anyone suggest a few cheesy bars and nightclubs that aren't too full of sleazy guys and chavs???

The cheapest place for drinks in Edinburgh is probably the Standing Order in George Street and is usually packed or you could start off in Frankenstein's on George IV Bridge, and go from there, plenty of pubs and clubs in the area.

You should try Espionage after the pubs shut.

try espionage,victoria st,music is cheesy,free admission etc,avoid lothian rd and the cavendish,its full of sleazy guys out on pull and some really rough "ladies"(used in loosest sense of word)

well, false accusations of racism apart (same names every question about Edinburgh!, this city has dozens of nationalities mingling year round - would it be so popular if it abused themt?), a large group in fancy dress wouldn't expect complete access to the trendier and smaller venues in any city. The grassmarket is the usual area for hen nights, most of the pubs there are welcoming. I doubt the Dome and some of the others listed, nice as they are, would let any large group in at night.

Not so sure about nightclubs but I know Mood at the Omni on Greenside Place will let hen nights in.

there's Whynot on George street which is good. And Shanghai right next door os also good but plays more sort of dance music than cheesy stuff. City or Cav are also pretty good and there are no chavs there!!

Bar wise i would suggest the Dome or the standing order (because they're big so a big loud party won't annoy people as much! and they're not chavy either)

There's millions of great places in edinburgh though - these are just off the top of my head...

i'd suggest going to another city as edinburgh is c**p!

well maybe u should stay there as hen nights are just so annoying! maybe all the ignorant people of edinburgh deserve lol
