http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102, has revealed that he is trying to improve his game as he bides his time at the bench and was optimistic of staking his claim in the regular starting line-up.
The English International was signed by the Reds for a whooping 20 million pounds transfer fee from Sunderland last year. However, so far, he has failed to justify his expensive price tag and has been dubbed by many as one of the biggest flops for Liverpool over the last year and a half.
The 22-year old has made 48 appearances for the Anfield outfit, but only managed to score 2 goals.
His poor form and innocuous presence in the midfield compelled Brendan Rodgers to push him to the bench. The midfielder is yet to make his first league start in the ongoing campaign.
Despite his current fringe presence in the squad, Henderson let out his optimism of reclaiming his slot in the starting-eleven.
He said that he was working harder than ever during the training sessions to improve his game even further and was not willing to be tagged as a failure at Anfield.
“I am coming into training every day, working hard and learning all the things I need to learn and I will continue to learn the game as the manager keeps telling me,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“I want my future to be at Liverpool. I'll give everything every day to make sure that happens.”
The arrival of a couple of midfielders during the summer has further put Hernandez’s position in jeopardy. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nuri-Sahin-c28251 and Joe Allen have already established themselves as regulars in the team, forcing the 22-year old to settle for an occasional Europa League and Capital One Cup appearance.
The former Black Cats player stated that although he was disappointed at not being able to feature regularly in the Premier League, he planned on making an impression in front of the manager by making the most of any opportunity that comes his way.
“If I keep putting in good performances I am sure my chance will come sometime soon and it is up to me to take it,” he added.
