Henery favourite for the Grade A3 Flat Race in Oxford – Greyhound Racing Preview
A fierce battle of greyhounds is expected in a Grade A3, 450 metres Flat Race at Oxford in England on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The winning cash prize of today’s event is £55, with Henery rated as the favourite for victory.
Despite not being able to deliver solid results over the past few months, Henery still has the confidence of the bookmakers, as he has been awarded with a starting price of 11 to 4 for today’s race.
The fawn dog has been unable to finish in the top three for the past four races and his last victory came back in December 2011. This will certainly put some doubt in the minds of the punters, who might hesitate investing their money on the favourite today.
Henery’s last race in Oxford was a disappointing one, as he finished fourth overall. He was a touch unlucky, as he was crowded on a couple of occasions in the event. Otherwise, the result could have been slightly better for him, as he got off to a very good
start.
R. Yeates’ trained dog has an opportunity to bounce back in form today, but will need some extra effort. He is the son of Crash out of Rosstemple Dream and was born in May 2010.
On the other hand, Keeperhill Katie has an opportunity to take victory today, as she has been delivering consistent results over the past few races. She will enter the event with a starting price of 3 to 1.
Keeperhill Katie’s last performance in Oxford was quite an impressive one, as she finished second by just a short head distance. She was the joint favourite to win that event alongside Elaines Galaxy, who was victorious in the end.
N. Colton’s trained b***h has the potential of continuing her consistent run and she will definitely attract some bettors today. She is the daughter of Heaslips Hawk out of Shelbourne Veva and was born in September 2009.
Stans World will be another greyhound entering the race with a starting price of 3 to 1 in Oxford. He has also been a touch inconsistent over the past few events, but certainly has the speed to end up on top of the table.
T. Atkins’ trained dog finished fourth in his last outing and will need to perform exceptionally today in order to regain form. He is the son of World Class out of Prime Factor and was born in May 2008.
Dublinyourmoney, trained by A. Kibble, has also been given a starting price of 3 to 1. She can prove to be the winner today, as her recent show has been extremely good. She has managed to win three out of her last five races and is expected to continue this
momentum in Oxford.
The punters would have taken a close look at her recent form and might be interested in investing on her. She is the daughter of Hondo Black out of Tiny Light, born in April 2009.
One of the least favourite greyhounds to make an impression is, Mixababe. However, she can pull off a surprise, as her recent going has been impressive. She is the daughter of Premier Fantasy out of Back On Song and was born in January 2007.
Darcys Revenge, also trained by A. Kibble, has been awarded with a starting price of 7 to 1 and might not be able to challenge the rest of the pack.
Overall, the top four greyhounds are pretty evenly matched and they will be fighting hard for victory today.
