Justine Henin entered the Australian Open 2010 as an unranked wildcard as a result of her 18-plus month hiatus from the game. Strangely, she will remain unranked after the tournament whether she finishes as runner-up or champion against Serena Williams in the final. The reason? Players only get rankings after they’ve played three tournaments – and after the Australian Open, Henin will only have played two in her comeback so she’ll have to wait one more tournament before she is ranked.
