Henna hair colours??

- I have bought red Henna - Ingredients to make it even redder..?does saffron work.? How do you do it?

Saffron - The Pricier Colourant.

The purer you keep your henna, the fewer problems you will encounter with the colour of your hair. I wouldn't recommend adding anything.

You can buy red hair color and mix it with the henna.

I've never heard of anyone dying their hair with saffron!

if you buy really good quality henna you will not really need to make it redder. spices like saffron, cinnamon , beets, etc will do nothing to dye the hair.

If you mix the henna with some lime juice (I guess lemon juice will work as well) and leave it sit overnight - or at least a few hours - the citrus juices break down the henna fibres and make the henna more absorbable by the hair.  It'll give a much brighter richer colour and will last a lot longer.  Saffron wouldn't work and would cost 3 times as much as the henna itself.
