Do you agree with the view that Henry VII owed his success in attaining the crown mainly to the support of the Stanleys?

  1. Indubitably. They waited until they saw which way the battle was going, at Bosworth Field, then joined the winning (Henry Tudor) side.

  2. I don't think he owed his success in total from the Stanleys, remember it wasn't just the Stanleys that deserted Richard III in the Battle of Bosworth.  They did certainly help him gain the crown however.
