Former Gunner and current New York Red Bulls striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918 believes that a win over Tottenham Hotspur could have a significant impact on the Gunners and their season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are currently having a very poor run of form. The team is currently trailing AC Milan by four goals to nil in the Champions League, while they simultaneously got knocked out of the FA Cup by Sunderland. Now with the team virtually not being able
to win any trophy this season, the North London club are focusing on finishing in the top four.
Thierry Henry, who spent two months with Arsenal this year on loan, strongly believes that a win for the Gunners over Tottenham could give them the boost that they have been looking for, as they look to try and work their way up the Premier League table.
Henry, when talking about Arsenal and just why it is important for the team to beat their local rivals is quoted to have said:
"For years we have been used to being on top of Tottenham, by a mile, and now it is the opposite. But this is the derby, which you don't want to lose, and we need those three points massively.”
"Hopefully it will be the derby that can spark the players, the fans, everybody at Arsenal Football Club. We'll see.”
Henry then went on to admit that the Gunners still had to play most of the top teams at home in the league and hence it was up to the North London club to blow their chances of finishing in the top four, since wins in those games would ensure their stay
in a Champions League spot.
"The league is going to be very difficult but the top four is in Arsenal's hands. They have the squad, there is a long way to go, they have to play http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at home, Tottenham at home, Newcastle at home, Man City at home. It's not impossible."
With both the teams looking to pick up all three points from their game, it is now going to be a wait till Sunday to see just what team ends up coming out on top.
