Do you realize that the way society is set up now, you have to basically falll on your knees every day to thank your mother for not aborting you.

Sure we all love our mothers, that is a universal constant, but now, you practically have to worship the woman!

I'm glad my mother wasn't pregnant in this era, she was in her 40's when i was born, who's to know :

she may have decided that she wants to enjoy the rest of her life instead.

To me, this does nothing more the enlargen the gap between fathers and mothers.

I mean, you have to be so thankful that your mother didn't abort you, and thankful to your father for what ?

money? inheriting his personality?

  1. I don't know a single person that feels this way.  I don't feel this way, my husband does not, nor have we raised our kids to feel this way.  Yes, respect your parents and be grateful for their love, support and a roof over your head, but worship and be thankful for not aborting you? Not.

  2. If you have a good father you are to be thankful to him for not encouraging your mother to abort you and for being there for you and teaching you.  Its not the mans fault that God decided that a woman should carry the child for nine months, a lot of fathers are better than mothers out here. Without men, no one would exist because they have to help make a baby just like the mother does.

  3. I am thankful for my parents but they were doing their job! I am a parent too and I dont expect my son to ever fall on his knees to thank me.

The parents who have an abortion or dont financially support they children are the bad ones who are NOT doing what they are supposed to do.

Same thing if you work for a company... does your boss fall on his knees because you are doing your job OR you are doing the job he expected you to do in the first place?

Unless you do something really extra like we do when you pay for our children's college or give them a new car.

  4. Thankful to my father for sticking around and being a family man.  I don't think this widens the gap between fathers and mothers.  Abortion has been legal for quite some time and there are a lot of babies that come into this world where the daddy wishes the mother had had an abortion.  I don't expect my kids to worship me for having them.  I love them and they were wanted.  Just because women have the choice to have an abortion does not mean that they will.
