The 48-year-old tactician expressed joy following his side’s 4-0 win over De Graafschap in the fourth round of KNVB beker Cup.
In the latest round of KNVB beker Cup, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Heracles-Almelo-c39520 recorded an easy 4-0 win against De Graafschap at Polman Stadion on Tuesday, December 20.
Peter Bosz, the Heraclieden head coach, expressed utter joy following his side’s impressive performance that sealed progression to the quarter-finals stage of the competition.
“We have reached to the last eight and will be going into the winter break with a good feeling. This win was very important for us after a few disappointing results in the recent weeks”, Bosz was quoted as saying to the media.
The Heraclieden started the match aggressively and took the lead early on in the match: Willy Overtoom powered his shot into the back of the net in the second minute.
In the 19th minute, Purrel Frankel slotted the ball into his own net to make the score-line read 2-0. Four minutes before the break, Samuel Armenteros’ strike had the outfit from Almelo 3-0 up at the half-time break.
Less than a minute after the restart, Marko Vejinovic’s strike put the Heraclieden in a commanding position. After conceding four goals, the Graafschap outfit slowed down the momentum and tried to create openings. However, they failed to hit the target.
Andrew Ulderink, De Graafschap boss, was extremely disappointed with his side’s Dutch Cup run coming to an end. He revealed that his side failed to defend and the home side took full advantage of their defensive mistakes.
“After the disappointment of Friday, our aim coming into this match was to stay in the game. However, we failed to defend properly. We gave a goal early on and then gifted one other. After that, there was not much chance for us. We had no answer to their
impressive midfield”, Ulderink said while talking to the media.
Heracles would be feeling happy to end the first-half of the 2011/12 season on a high note by advancing in the Dutch Cup. The Heraclieden boss would be hoping that his troops perform highly after the winter break and enhance their chances of winning silverware.
