Heracles Almelo’s Willie Overtoom wants to take the next step in his career – Eredivisie news
Heracles Almelo’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AFC-Ajax-c38228 Amsterdam
and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Twente-c39233 Enschede. The player also denied speculations linking him with an exit from Eredivisie.
“I’m sure I can play in the top three http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 sides. And if you can play with them, then you can participate in Oranje.” Overtoom said.
The 24-year-old midfield ace also denied moving to AZ Alkmaar as it would not make much of a difference to him.
“I’m not going to leave Heracles for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571. Then, the difference between my old club and new club is too small to speak of a progress.” The player expressed his opinion.
Furthermore, the player suggested that his choice would be to move to play at De Grolsch Veste or Philips Stadion.
“I think I heard that Heerenveen, PSV and Twente were seen in our stands. Of the clubs, I think PSV and Twente would be interesting options. The same naturally applies to Ajax”, he concluded.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Heraclieden in 2008/09 season and played impressively in his first two seasons at Polman Stadion. The 2010/11 season, however, saw him come of age. He scored 15 goals and added seven assists in 34 appearances.
PSV and Twente have reportedly been observing his impressive outings and both clubs are rumoured to be taking keen interest in signing the young midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Heraclieden management are looking to hold on to their prized asset for the next couple of seasons. With a host of top clubs taking keen interest in adding the 24-year-old midfielder to their ranks, coupled with the midfielder’s desire to
make a move away from his current club in the summer, it is unlikely that the Heraclieden would be able to hold on to their star player.
