  1. There are lots of options that you can try e.g. "rescue remedy" (homeopathic) and lots of herbs, but I would suggest going to a Naturopathic Doctor first to make sure he/she knows your medical history to avoid any contraindications and herb-drug interactions....

  2. I tried Balerian pills from the Russian store---and they are a lot stronger than ours---and put me to sleep.....

  3. Ginkgo Biloba increases circulation, which improves memory and concentration.  It's very effective.

  4. Chinese Ginseng is usually a good choice. I would go to your local health food store and speak with the people in the herb section. There are many alternatives. A good detox would be a very wise choice also.

    My choices:

    Ginseng

    Guta Cola

    Chamomile

There are some others, but I know I would butcher the spellings. :-)

    Hope this helps

ps: also, cut back on refined carbs and sugars in your diet. A pure diet is the cure all for nearly anything, I've found.

  5. Rhodiola.  I used it when I had night classes and exams and needed to focus on the spot. I still use it when I find I'm not so sharp and need mental clarity. Try using it situationally.

Gota kola, Centella asiatica,  is also great for clarity and memory

For calming mental activity here's 2 herbs to try.

Skullcap, Scutellaria lateriflora, is great for those times when you fine overwhelmed multitasking and you need to take it down a few pegs

Blue Vervain, Verbena hastata, I use when I can't shut my mind off.  It's great for when you're in bed and it's hard to relax the mind. Also good for the over analitical and worrying mind that's got a lot going on.

I like Tinctures best  for these as I can keep them in my purse and car.

  6. Is it for children or adult

I have recently bought focusfactors from old fashion foods, it's suppose to help children be more focus and alert, I'm pretty sure there's the same kind of think for adults, I'm sure that the healthy omega 3-6-9 oils and fish oil help with that and many other things, go to  a health food store and check it out.  It's better than a prescription would be.
