  1. i would not discontinue even for a week without talking to my doctor. ask him for free samples for a week.

  2. Mistletoe extract is one of the most effective herbs at lowering blood pressure. Works best in a formula with herbs to relieve tension, like Valerian, Hops, Motherwort, so see what your health food store offers. Do not overdose and do not fail to keep an eye on your BP while taking.

Where pressure is due to faulty kidney function, dandelion root or bearberry (Uva Ursi) are added as diuretics. (Dandelion is also a mild beta-blocker & good source of Potassium.)

Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about filling only part of the prescription? They can do that sometimes. It's one thing to wean yourself off drugs and use herbs instead - done gradually. Quite another to suddenly stop taking anti-hypertensives.

  3. A good herbal diuretics is dandelion root and co enzyme Q-10 helps lower the blood pressure. If you continue to use the coq-10, you will have to reduce the dosage of your bp medication.  I take about 100 mg of co q-10 and the doctor reduced by bp medicine norvasc from 10 mg to 5 mg and my blood pressure  went from 160/90 to about 105/65.

It  also help my cholesterol , it is about 120.  that stuff really work!!!!!
