Herbal tea before school?

i want to add tea to my breakefast, i am going into 9th grade, is that bad? what is good to wake up the brain, add energy and increase health such as immune system, so i wont get sick from germs at school?...

  1. I hate to contradict anyone with good answers, but it's not recommended for anyone under 18 to take Ginkgo or Echinacea... neither has been studied enough to verify if it's safe in minors.

    What I would recommend that is safe for a typical 9th grader would be some honey in your tea and a good teen multivitamin (which will be packed with good antioxidants) and/or some fruit in the morning. Those would be great for energy (to help wake you up) and the immune system. You could also try drinking green tea instead of a generic herbal tea because green tea is also a very good antioxidant (which helps with the immune system).

    If you're looking for something that can specifically help with brain health, my best recommendation is to eat more fish (or take a Fish Oil supplement for optimal impact).
