  1. Herbal tea is not as healthy as regular tea. The reason is that all teas made from the tea plant (regular tea) contain great amounts of antioxidants, specifically epogallocatechin gallate (EGCG).

    Herbal teas do not have even remotely the same levels of antioxidants as regular tea or green tea, but they may contain vitamins in small amounts. Even so, you would have to drink a lot of herbal tea to get any benefit from those vitamins.

    Of all the varieties of tea, white tea contains the most antioxidants, up to three times as much as green tea.

    Some herbal teas are believed to have a specific effect. For instance, tea brewed on catnip is used as a relaxant, and so is chamomile tea. Echinacea tea is thought to suppress symptoms of flu or colds.

    Has less caffeine

    Has more anti oxidants

    Therefore better to drink in the evening

    so you dont keep yourself awake from a caffeine high
